Top 5 Corporate Event Venues in Miami, FL — And How to Photograph Them

July 16, 2024

Miami is one of the most active corporate event markets in the country. From multi-day conferences at waterfront convention centers to intimate executive dinners in Brickell, the city offers venues that are as varied as the events they host. As a corporate event photography team that has worked inside most of these spaces, we know what makes each one unique — and what it takes to capture them well.

Here are the five venues we see booked most often for corporate events in Miami, and what you should know about each one.

1. Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC)

1901 Convention Center Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139

The MBCC is the go-to for large-scale conferences, trade shows, and conventions in South Florida. With over 500,000 square feet of exhibit space and recently renovated meeting rooms, it can accommodate events of almost any size. The venue’s proximity to Miami Beach hotels makes it a natural anchor for multi-day programs.

Photography note: The MBCC’s exhibition halls are lit with overhead fluorescent grids that create mixed color temperature challenges. An experienced corporate event photographer will bring color-calibrated gear and shoot in RAW to correct for this in post. The main lobby and outdoor terrace offer far more flattering natural light for headshots and receptions.

2. The Ritz-Carlton South Beach

1 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139

For executive gatherings, leadership summits, and high-end corporate galas, the Ritz-Carlton South Beach delivers a level of polish that photographs beautifully. The property’s Art Deco architecture, oceanfront setting, and warm interior lighting make it one of the most visually rewarding venues to work in Miami.

Photography note: Evening events here are particularly striking. The combination of ambient candlelight, warm interior tones, and ocean backdrop creates a layered visual environment. We recommend pairing a primary photographer with a second shooter to cover the room simultaneously — nothing gets missed at this venue.

3. Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)

1103 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132

PAMM offers one of the most distinctive event backdrops in the city — a waterfront terrace, open-air plazas, and indoor gallery spaces that can be configured for receptions, product launches, and networking events. The architectural drama of the building itself becomes part of your event’s visual story.

Photography note: The hanging gardens and waterfront views at PAMM are unlike anything else in Miami. Wide environmental shots here tell a story that venue-generic shots simply can’t. We always allocate time at PAMM for detail and architectural photography alongside the people coverage.

4. Faena Forum

3201 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Designed by Rem Koolhaas, Faena Forum is one of the most architecturally bold event spaces in the country. Its 43,000 square feet of space — including a grand hall with a domed ceiling — is a favorite for brand activations, galas, and large-scale corporate presentations where the environment itself needs to make a statement.

Photography note: The domed ceiling creates a dramatic overhead element that most photographers underuse. Wide-angle coverage from the floor looking up during keynotes or performances produces images that are immediately distinct from standard event photography. The venue’s curved walls also create interesting natural framing opportunities.

5. JW Marriott Marquis Miami

255 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33131

In the heart of Brickell’s financial district, the JW Marriott Marquis is the most frequently booked corporate conference hotel in Miami. Its ballrooms, breakout rooms, and rooftop spaces make it ideal for multi-day programs, and its central location means attendees from across the city can reach it easily. We recently covered Cotiviti’s CCC25 conference here — a multi-day event with hundreds of attendees across several simultaneous spaces.

Photography note: Multi-room events at the JW require a coordinated approach. For CCC25, we deployed multiple photographers across concurrent sessions to ensure nothing was missed. If your event spans more than two rooms or has simultaneous programming, plan for at least a two-person team.
